The DIGITUS® network cabinets of the Unique series combine maximum stability with optimum flexibility in cable management, for the high demands of modern IT infrastructure with a wide variety of application scenarios.

The network cabinets in the Unique series have been designed and produced for particularly convenient and flexible network cabling. Sophisticated optimizations offer market-compliant stability with maximum flexibility. A modular base chassis, which can be opened using screwed 483 mm (19") blind panels, offers sufficient space for cables of all kinds. In addition, there are cable inlets with brushes in the rear area of the base chassis. Rear brush strips above and below the rear door (from 26U) enable use in a wide range of application scenarios. Generous vertical cable ducts with cable routing aids and cover, installed in the front (from 800 mm enclosure width), perfectly round off the versatile features of the network enclosure. Two pairs of cranked and galvanized 483 mm (19") profile rails, labelled with height units that can be read in opposite directions, are installed inside. They are infinitely adjustable and are connected to additional depth struts in the cabinet. Each enclosure is a robust steel construction made from sheet steel up to 1.5 mm thick. The coloring takes the form of electrostatic powder coating in the standard colors grey (RAL 7035) and black (RAL 9005). Modular lockable and removable side panels and doors improve accessibility. Door hinges can be changed. Furthermore, the cabinets can be completely dismantled if required thanks to the demountable design. Depending on the application, all DIGITUS® Unique network cabinets can also be used as server cabinets, taking into account factors such as the weights and heat development of built-in components. The installation of perforated sheet steel doors in such variants ensures improved passive cooling of the installed components. For example, a model defined by DIGITUS® as a server cabinet is supplemented by rear PDU brackets in the standard configuration of the Unique Server-N series.

The Network Racks of the Unique Series were designed for the user friendly installation of active- and passive network components accompanied by a neat cable management. Each rack consists of up to 1.5 mm strong steel sheet material which ensures a very good stability as a robust steel construction due to special plate curving technique. The color is created by powder coating in grey (RAL 7035) and black (RAL 9005). For certain conditions, where the set-up location is difficult to reach, the rack can be disassembled. Doors can be easily detached and the door stop can be changed from right to left. The roof is present with an added lid which contains air ventilation slots for a better air circulation. Furthermore the roof is ready for the mounting of an air ventilation unit. Each network rack contains 2 pairs (4 pieces) of 483 mm (19”) profile rails inside which are galvanized and with height unit marking (countable from both directions). They are variable in depth and connected with additional depth support bars to realize extensive 483 mm (19”) equipment installations. An important aspect for each installation is the cable management. The base of each rack is equipped with a sliding cable entry panel with rubber sealing. Racks from 26U are equipped with two cable entries with brush strips on the rear side above- and underneath the door. For cabinets with 800 mm width, the possibilities of cable management get enhanced with additional cable entries with brushes left and right in the top and base chassis. Furthermore there are mounted vertical cable ducts with shutter left and right to the 483 mm (19”) profile rails in the front (on cabinets from 32U and 800 mm width). An extensive portfolio of accessories for cable management, shelves, etc. will help to meet many requirements in daily use.

The cable support rails are installed horizontally in the cabinet depth of the DIGITUS® 482.6 mm 19" network or server cabinet. As they are attached to the perforated frame profile, they provide plenty of scope for orderly cable management. Individual cables or entire cable harnesses can be easily attached to the hammerhead profiles using cable ties or Velcro tape. The rails are suitable for all free-standing DIGITUS® 482.6 mm 19" cabinets in the Unique, Unique Light and Unique Server-N series.
